Just below the carved ribbon under the clock case door is the original clock owner’s initials in blue paint.

Late 18th century extraordinary collectible Mora clock, signed AAS, in original paint with intricate fan carving motif just below the clock face and just above the clock base; additionally, the sides of the clock are beautifully carved. Just below the carved ribbon under the clock case door is the original clock owner’s initials in blue paint.

The front of the clock case has an original blue painted lyre with bird sitting atop. Inside the clock case door is information about the clock maker, Anders Anderson and that he was born in Mora in 1781 and died at the beginning of 1800’s. Clock has original works and clock face, and is in working condition.

CONDITION:

Clock is in very good condition for it’s age, the distressed painted finish has been refreshed. There are
normal age cracks in the wood finish.
